Full Charge Bookkeeper

The key role of this position is providing fiscal administration for the office as well as key personnel such as BVA President, Vice President, Helpdesk Manager, and Operations Manager. The focus will remain on assisting with fiscal management and the specific business needs, contracts and financial billings for BVA President. The position is responsible for running payroll, performing monthly billings, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliation of accounts, as well as human resources assistance. Reports to the BVA President and BVA Vice President.

Salary:

$27 - $38/hr

Requirements:

Manage banking activities, including deposits, account management, and credit card transactions.
Oversee accounts receivables, accounts payables, and payroll processing to ensure timely payments.
Maintain an organized accounting system, including the chart of accounts and filing.
Implement controls and procedures for accounting transactions and manage outsourced functions.
Prepare timely financial statements, reports, and financial analyses for decision-making.
Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and ensure compliance with government requirements.
Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software is required.
Handle human resources tasks, agreements, vendor management, and local administrative duties.
Provide excellent customer service, communication, and client-facing skills.
Demonstrates self-management of time, meets assigned deliverables, and exhibits strong cooperation in dealing with staff, partners, and clients.
Demonstrate strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management abilities.
Uphold professionalism and cooperation in working with colleagues, partners, and clients.
Manage the operations of the accounting department and subsidiary corporations.
Monitor debt levels, conduct bank reconciliations, and manage annual budget production.
Address compliance issues, suggestions, and contribute to strategic discussions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience preferred.
Minimum three (3) years’ proven work experience in accounting or a related field, demonstrating knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
Proficiency in payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.
Advanced computer skills, specifically in Excel, with an aptitude for learning and utilizing supporting software for billing purposes.
Superior customer service and outstanding communication skills.
Possession of a valid driver's license and proof of car insurance.
