There are two parts to JUMP, which are the camera and the assembler. GoPro announced that they will be the first company to build a Jump compatible rig. This will basically be a 16 camera wheel that captures a 360 degrees of imagery. Google then takes the imagery and distributes the dead spots and depth into one contiguous video experience. After that, the video goes up on YouTube.
Jump should be hitting the market this summer around the same time as the GoPro rig. Users can view all Jump content via YouTube on a $20 Google Cardboard.
