Brillo is Google’s operating system for the internet of things. They named it Brillo because it is a “polished down” but not fully functional version of Android operating system. It is lightweight enough to run everything and is also designed to talk to everything else. It will connect phones to devices, and those devices to the cloud. Pichai said they hope it can connect every device in a seamless and intuitive way. Brillo will not be available to developers until the third quarter.
