Google photos is one of the most loved features of the unloved Google+ service. Google used I/O to re-launch Google Photos. They want to be a photo storage, organization and also a sharing platform that will serve as the single service to store all of your photos. While offering all of these, they are offering free, unlimited storage of every photo and video you have.
There is one little catch, as always, the storage can accept any photo and video format but if you choose the “high quality” option, those files will be saved as “visibly identical” files in JPEG form. For the videos on the other hand, they will be storage at 1080p resolution. If you are wanting to store actual byte-for-byte, you will need to sign up for Google premium storage.
This is a great tool for storing and organizing all your photos. Using Google Photos, it can sort all your photos by person, time, location, and even interest without tagging or captions.
