Android Pay has supported many major credit card vendors such as American Express, MasterCard, Visa, and Discover. There are more than 700,000 store in the U.S that are set up for Android Pay. Some of these stores include Nike, Best Buy, McDonalds, and Staples. Android Pay is also used for in-app purchases of real-world services. Between Apple and Android Pay there aren’t much differences but it goes a long way toward the two platforms into mobile payment parity.
Besides from Android Pay, Google has a NFC payment system called Google Wallet, but there is not much traffic for it. Although, they did not have much traffic, when they got Softcard sold to them, which is the payment system backed by several of the major wireless carriers there was much more people using Google wallet.
Now, you can connect Android Pay to a credit card and make purchases by holding your unlocked phone next to the NFC sensor.
