We all need to back up our files from time to time. An online backup service may be the easiest way to do so, and PC Mag rates nine of the best. Each service backs up files automatically and stores them on a cloud server, so you can access your files at any time, even if a file goes missing.
Judging criteria include price (for one year of service), security, performance and ease of Web and mobile access. PC Mag also considers how each program chooses which files to back up and when backup happens, as well as ability to restore files and folders. Some vendors offer extras, such as file syncing and backup to local storage.
Programs that make the grade: IDrive, SOS Online Backup, CrashPlan, SpiderOak and Carbonite, as well as four others.
