For those developers that utilized ad-blocking apps to keep those pesky ads off of your android applications are in for a treat. Google has recently banned all ad-blocking software from the play store as it is in violation of their developer policy. Since google clearly makes most of its money from advertising, it wants to stop as much ad blocking as possible. According to the Google Developer Distribution agreement, it clearly states that developers must not create an app “that interferes with, disrupts, damages, or accesses in an unauthorized manner the devices, servers, networks, or other properties or services of any third party.” The ads are quite annoying but advertising is one of their cash cows so I don’t necessarily blame them.
