June 2, 2015 it was announced that Symantec has launched a new security that protects data in the cloud from loss or theft. It allows enterprise clients to run content-based scans, ramp up protection for cloud-based emails and monitor employees. Along with this new security, Symantec has developed DLP for the Cloud Storage. This integrates with cloud storage Box’s platform to monitor employee’s accounts to keep track of sensitive cooperate files, monitors whom and where this data is being shared with, in order to do this they place “visual tags” on these files. DLP can even monitor and protect cooperate files that enter the wrong hands and syncing these files to Microsoft OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, and Gmail.
