Outlook 2013 has not impressed many users. Its lack of color was a huge disappointment as well as the changes made from 2010 to 2013 weren’t as grand as Microsoft would love to believe. Here are some things you can do to help you live better with Outlook 2013. Change the color from white to dark gray. If the application starts acting up, you can compact your pst file to help. Another neat feature is the ability to Reply inline, meaning when you reply they stay in the reading pane, you can click the POP OUT button if you want the old way of working. Take quick action by using the floating cross icon to delete, the flag icon to flag an item and the blue bar to the left to mark a message as unread. You can also link contacts from Facebook, LinkedIN and other sources. You can see more or less by using the View and then Message Preview to turn off the preview of your messages. You can also restore the To Do Bar by selecting the to Do Bar options under the view tab to bring it back. These are just a few tidbits to help you use Outlook 2013 better.
